Our friend's Chip & Karla Brogden's 12 year old daughter wrote a poem that we found very inspiring.  We wanted to share it with you, too.

What Do You See?
by Beth Brogden

When you look in the mirror what do you see?
A happy person smiling back with glee?
Who has self confidence as high as can be?

Or do you see a person with anger and frustration inside?
That doesn't like to show how he feels and wants to hide.

When they look in the mirror what do they see?
A person who like to run away from his troubles, hoping they will go away.
Or a person who likes to confront them and doesn't walk away.

When he looks in the mirror what does he see?
A person who tries, or a person who hides,
even from himself, because he is afraid of what he will find.

When he looks in the mirror, he sees a person who is troubled
but doesn't even care to solve his problems
for being afraid to be deserted, and left alone.

Instead he will continue to hold himself back and follow the crowd
to be what other people want him to be
But only this mirror knows his true identity.
