Jesus Is All We Need

It seems I speak too often without really listening to what I am really saying. The world is full of that and I find it is leading us away from God rather than to Him. It contributes to our false concept of who He really is. I praise God that all this is working for us and not against us. It always brings us back to seeing that Jesus is all we really need!

I was with a pastor the other day who is convinced that if you are not in service to God then you are deceived.  He continually verbally assaults people for not getting busy and demonstrating their faith through works. He does not believe Jesus is all we need. He believes it is Jesus plus works. Often we are looking for the evidence of Christ's life and as a result try to beat people into obedience and good works. Who are we to judge the servant of another? It's none of my business what God is doing in the life of another. How He chooses to demonstrate His life through them is between the two of them. To me, that is like going into the bedroom of a married couple and dictating to them how they are to make love! It's not my job, and quite frankly it's none of my business. The revelation of all Jesus is doing for us every moment will resonate within the human spirit and result in His life flowing out from within. We do not generate His work, it happens naturally. Are we willing to take up the challenge of planting seeds and letting him reap the harvest?
