It is nearing the end of an exhausting day of counseling and I am already a day late getting this week’s Reflection to you. The article that I intended for this week is not ready and I know God has another agenda for today. As I have sought Him about what to send, He has asked me to simply sit and write what is on my heart at the moment.

While I always carry a burden for God’s children, today it feels heavier than most. I wish I could rip open my heart and allow you to see what I carry – the passion I have for you to grow in deeper intimacy with our Lord Jesus. So many of you have struggles, burdens, and hurts that God is passionate to heal, and yet victory and healing seem so elusive. I long to reach out and hug each one of you and offer you a word of encouragement and hope. I long to help you see God in the midst of your situation.

Be encouraged that God is more passionate to heal than you are to be healed. It may not feel that way from where you are sitting today. It may not seem that God cares. He may feel cold and aloof to you, but don’t believe your lying emotions. Believe through faith that God means what He says, regardless of what you feel. God wants to be the Lord of your salvation, not only for eternity, but also in every moment of every day. He wants to save you in the midst of your most difficult circumstances. God loves you. He really, REALLY loves you. Next week I want to share more with you on this love….
