Lies, Lies Lies!

What is true of the flesh is a lie to the Spirit, and the Truth of the Spirit feels like a lie to the flesh.

"For the word of God (i.e. Jesus) is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Hebrews 6:12)

The next time you sense God speaking and you struggle to believe it's true, remember that your flesh is hostile to God and it does not want you to embrace the Truth.

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life - no man comes to the Father except through me!"
