Our
God is Faithful (Where
is the God of our Salvation? - Part 7) I have shared a lot with you over the past few months about our difficulties and I know many of you have been praying for us. We are by no means out of the fire yet, but the flames have lessened in intensity. Let me share with you what God has been doing. The most amazing miracle has been that one of our creditors has forgiven $34,400.00. Here is a direct quote from them: Our Company wants to make your life easier. To help you, we are offering to settle the above-referenced account. We have agreed to accept 30% of the current balance…. Amazing indeed, and a direct fulfillment of a promise God made to me nearly 3 years ago. To
the man with whom he is pleased, God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy; but to
the sinner he gives the work of getting goods together and storing up wealth, to
give to him in whom God has pleasure. This again is to no purpose and desire for
wind. (Ecclesiastes 2:26 BBE) Our God is faithful beyond anything I can ever tell you. Yet I still whine and fuss as we have to face the tremendous struggle of not being able to pay bills and the threat of having some utilities turned off. You would think that because of the way God came through for us I would have more faith. Don’t get me wrong; I am encouraged, but the Lord has led us in a specific path upon which we must wait upon Him. Much has changed since I last wrote to you. We are moving forward with a sense of both apprehension and excitement. He has made it clear that we are to put our house up for sale, and we have every confidence that it is going to sell. He has also given me the freedom to find a temporary job to help us turn our financial situation around. I was tempted to do this in my own strength before, but knew I had to yield to Him and not force God’s hand. However, recently He has made it clear that this is the path I am to walk for the next few months. My resume has been sent out to places all over the U.S. Do we know what the future holds? No, but we know who holds the future and we are excited to see what He will reveal. We thank you all so much for your continued prayer. There are many of you in various corners of the world who have faithfully lifted us and LCMI up in prayer, and your prayers are availing much. I know it is only a matter of time until the Lord makes a way for us to see each other face to face so we can minister to the Lord together. I thank God for you at each remembrance.
Verses for Reflection Give
praise to the Lord, O my soul; let everything in me give praise to his holy
name. Give praise to the Lord, O my soul; let not all his blessings go from your
memory. He has forgiveness for all your sins; he takes away all your diseases;
He keeps back your life from destruction, crowning you with mercy and grace. He
makes your mouth full of good things, so that your strength is made new again
like the eagle's. The Lord gives decisions in righteousness for all who are in
trouble. (Psalms 103:1-6 BBE) Truly,
that man is happy who has training from the hand of God: so do not let your
heart be shut to the teaching of the Ruler of all. For after his punishment he
gives comfort, and after wounding, his hands make you well. (Job 5:17-18 BBE) Come,
let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has
wounded us, but He will bandage us. He will revive us after two days; He will
raise us up on the third day, That we may live before Him. So let us know, let
us press on to know the LORD. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; And He
will come to us like the rain, Like the spring rain watering the earth.
(Hosea 6:1-3 NASB) And though the Lord will give you the bread of trouble and the water of grief, you will no longer put your teacher on one side, but you will see your teacher: And at your back, when you are turning to the right hand or to the left, a voice will be sounding in your ears, saying, This is the way in which you are to go. (Isaiah 30:20-21 BBE) |
