I Am

My son once said,

"God is not a He.
God is not a not a She.
God is not an It.
God is an Am."

He is the Great I Am, and we are the great I am nots.

Jesus wants to be everything to us that we are not in and of ourselves. Apart from Him we cannot do anything. Let's stop trying to be everything in and of ourselves. Let's let the "I am" be to us what we are not. Only in Him do we live and breathe.
