Personality Personality is like a hammer--it is neither right nor wrong, it simply is. What matters is how it is used. A hammer driving a nail is a good thing, but a hammer beating people on the head is not so good. So it is with personality. Personality under the control of our flesh (meaning our mind, will and emotions under the ruling influence of something other than Christ) is not so good, but under Christ's ruling influence it is exactly what it was created to be. Personality is like a prism created to reflect the glory of the Son in a very unique way. There is no excuse for not displaying the fruits of the Spirit, but there is nothing demanding that those fruits be expressed through each of us in exactly the same way. If God intended all expressions to be alike He would not have created us uniquely. It is the full expression of all believers together that give us a more complete picture of the vastness of our God.
