An Informal Note
By Mike Rule

Some months it seems that Mondays come with only about two days between them. We no sooner get one Reflection sent when another one is looming over us. It's not that the Lord has not given us things to say; He has. We almost always have a large reserve of articles that are in the process of being edited. However, if we take up with the pressure of the deadline and let it become our motivation, writing loses its joy and we end up being flesh driven rather than Spirit led. Recently that has become a real tendency.

This week I sense that we are to reflect upon Him in a more informal way. As you face the challenges that each new week brings, be reminded that you are better off than you feel you are. God loves you and is working in your life to separate and divide that which is of Spirit from that which is flesh. We truly have a God who is sharper than any two edged sword, and He is able to separate soul and Spirit. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Verse for Reflection

"For the word of God (i.e. Jesus) is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Hebrews 6:12)
