The Bride

I often tease Becky when she gets down on herself with something like, "Hey, don't talk that way about the woman I love!"

I suspect Jesus feels the same way about His bride. I hear many people complaining about the organized church today, but I see few who are loving it or seeing it through His eyes. The organized church is the vehicle through which God is building His spiritual church - His bride! It is a mission field that is ripe unto the harvest. The church parallels the children of Israel in many ways and we can clearly see in scripture that God never gave up on them.

Can we put as much energy into loving the bride as we do into complaining about it? Let Him do through you what you could never do yourself.
